5 REASONS WHY I HOPE THE JETS WIN 0 GAMES

Look, I’ve been riding with this team through every heartbreak imaginable — from the butt fumble to blown playoff hopes and “maybe next year” promises that never materialized. But now, sitting here in late October with the Jets still winless, I’m saying something I never thought I’d say out loud:

I hope we lose out.

And no, that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped being a fan. It means I’ve finally had enough of false hope.

1. This Team Needs to Hit Rock Bottom

Justin Fields was supposed to be the spark. I wanted to believe — we all did. But the offense looks lost, the line is a revolving door, and now Tyrod Taylor might be the starting QB going into Week 8 against the Bengals. That’s not “next man up.” That’s desperation. And sometimes, you’ve got to burn it all down before you can build something real.

2. Winning Now Hurts Us Later

If the Jets somehow squeak out a few meaningless wins, ownership will convince themselves that this is progress. It’s not. It’s delusion. A 3–14 record gets you nothing but another mid-round draft pick and another year of mediocrity. Lose out, land a top-three pick, and maybe — just maybe — we finally stop recycling “bridge” quarterbacks.

3. The Front Office Needs a Wake-Up Call

Every season, we hear the same thing: “Trust the process.” But what process? If there’s no identity, no consistent coaching, and no development, there’s nothing to trust. Losing out would force Woody Johnson’s hand — because this fanbase deserves accountability, not press conference soundbites.

4. Players Deserve Better Too

Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Sauce Gardner are foundation pieces. But even they can’t carry a franchise that refuses to give them stability. Losing out now means a chance to rebuild around them — not waste their prime years in another cycle of chaos.

5. This Isn’t Giving Up — It’s Demanding Better

Rooting for losses sounds crazy, I get it. But I’d rather hit zero and start over than live in football purgatory. Because the truth is, the Jets don’t need a miracle. They need a clean slate.

So yeah — let Tyrod start. Let the season crash and burn.

Sometimes you’ve got to lose every battle before you finally win the war.

I’m not rooting against the Jets. I’m rooting for their future.
